Food Network in the Neighborhood

Holy oatmeal cookie, Batman! The contestants on The Next Food Network Star (TNFNS) do their shopping at my grocery store--Westside Market--in my building!

Nipa couldn't find turmeric in the spice aisle (which, oddly, looked kind of big on-screen but is really a tiny section squished between the peanut butter and the taco shells...don't ask). Regular readers know how wacky Westside's shelving schema can be. Poor Nipa should have looked for the turmeric next to the mixed nuts.

And, to top of today's Food Network sightings, we saw Bob Tuschman--a TNFNS judge and VP of Food Network--in the D'agostino market on 17th Street.
