The Cookies Are in the Mail...for Saturday Delivery II

My blog buddy Alicia read my post about "Blogging By Mail" and commented that I could send her a batch of cookies. So I did!

I guess I'm expanding on what it means to be bring-in-able.

Last night I baked up a half batch of my Coffee Cake Cookies and dropped them off at the post office this morning for Saturday delivery. Well, in all honesty, not the whole half batch. (How's that for an oxymoron?) Jon and I scarfed down a few...or five, so it's really more of a quarter batch.

It's good that I'm getting all this practice sending cookies through the mail. I'm thinking of entering a recipe contest, but there's a wrinkle: Actual samples need to be submitted to the judges next Tuesday. I have two options:

1. I can send my (yet-to-be-posted) recipe to Mumma and rely on her to do the baking.
2. I can do the baking myself, send the cookies to Mumma, and have her submit my entry for me.

Hmmm... Like I said, it's good that I'm getting all this practice sending cookies through the mail.

I REALLY think you should go for option #2!! You KNOW my expertise in the kitchen is nil. If you want to win the contest, YOU need to do the baking!! I can get your entry to the judges, but please don't trust me to make it.

Yeah. Option #2 sounds the best. You know what you are doing, and I agree that if you want to win the contest, you should do the baking. Good luck with that!

Mumma has admitted that her baking skills are not the same as yours. You should listen to your Mumma. Thank you for the cookies. I posted about the PIF just moments ago. And the cookies are really good. I'm going to pick up some ice cream this evening. I wish Safeway were on my way home. The make a really good coffee ice cream.

I'm so glad you liked the cookies. :-) And good idea with the Pay It Forward (PIF). With all the stuff going on right now, who couldn't use a bit of love in the mail?
