Here's the recipe for my Flat, Crunchy Chocolate Chip Cookies in process.
Cream the creamables. Butter, white sugar, and dark brown sugar. The white sugar is key to making a crunchy cookie.
Combine the wet ingredients. Egg, vanilla, and milk.
Add the wet ingredients to the creamables. Take everything for a spin.
Shave the chocolate. Take one of those big bars of Hershey's milk chocolate, cut it in half, and have at it. I use a vegetable peeler, but you could use a microplane, a box grater, or even a knife. Whatever implement you use, your goal is to produce little pieces of milk chocolate.
Combine the dry ingredients and add them to the combined wet ingredients and creamables. The dough should be fairly wet.
Scoop 'n bake. Enjoy your flat, crunchy cookies with a glass of ice-cold milk. These guys are perfect for dunking!
