Melissa, a reader and real-life recipe user, made my Better Than Grandma's Oatmeal Raisin Cookies but had a question:
“I just baked these, they are very good. However, DH despises raisins. Can you come up with an equally good cookie without raisins?”
Hi, Melissa. Oh no...a raisin hater? I think you could replace the raisins in this recipe with any other kind of dried fruit: cranberries, cherries, dates, etc. Or you could replace the fruit with your favorite kind of chip: chocolate, white chocolate, butterscotch, peanut butter, etc.
The base recipe is really simple, so you can customize it just by swapping out the add-ins--in this case, the raisins. Check out my article on improvisational baking to see how easy it is to tweak a recipe.
Oh...but what does DH stand for? I thought designated hitter at first, but that doesn't sound right. Is it dumb husband? Just wondering. :-)

I think DH means Dear Husband.

yep, the H stands for husband. The D can stand for whatever suits your mood that moment. Trust me, it changes hourly! LOL

Ha! Thanks for the clarification, Sandra and JaySpice. At least I was right about it not meaning "designated hitter." :-)
