After a week of cold, rainy days, Friday was a bright and shiny welcomed sight. To celebrate the sunlight, Jon and I had a light dinner at Scuderia, a new Italian restaurant just a short walk away in the Village.
1) Baccala (salted cod) spread and toast points. 2) Arancini (fried risotto balls) with beef ragu. 3) White pizza with black truffles.

I just CAN'T belive that you actually ate Baccala!! My grandmother used to make this in a tomato sauce with onions and raisins and it would NEVER pass my lips!! Just the smell of it cooking was enough to gag a maggot! I love my Italian heritage and almost all of the food is to die for, but this is one thing (along with any goat product) that I'm not very proud of. But, I must admit, I am impressed by your willingness to try new and different things.

It was good! The next time you come down to NYC, we're taking you out to eat.
