Boy, oh boy. When they named the holiday labor day, they weren't kidding.
Katie and I wandered through the East Village and Lower East Side on Sunday. The plan was to end up at Doughnut Plant so that Katie could sample the goodies I constantly rave about. Unfortunately, Doughnut Plant's doors were shuttered for the holiday.
I'm glad the hardworking folks at Doughnut Plant got a few days off, but did they need to shut down shop for the whole weekend? Food destination denied!
