Joseph, a reader and real-life recipe user, wrote in with some blog-love and a couple cookie questions:
I love the blog and really want to try ALL of them. What kind of cocoa powder do you use? Have you ever tried Momofuku's Berries & Cream cookies?
Hi, Joseph! Thanks for writing in. Sorry it's taken a while for me to respond, but I've finally gotten on top of my email. Phew!
I've used Drost cocoa powder for most of my chocolate cookie recipes, but I ran out recently and haven't been able to find that brand in my local grocery store. If you can't find Drost, don't worry. Use whatever you have on hand or can locate easily. I used supermarket brand cocoa powder for my last few chocolate cookies, and they turned out super tasty.
I believe I have had the berries & cream cookie at Momofuku. (It was either that or the corn flake cookie...can't quite remember.) It's been a while since I've been back in Manhattan, so I think I might have to plan a return to sample some goodies and to get some more cookie inspiration. But don't worry...I've got some blueberry cookie recipes in the works!
