Earlier in the week, I planned on making an orange creamsicle-inspired version of my Key Lime Pie Cookies and thought it would be smart to make the orange-flavored vanilla pudding ahead of time. But then I forgot about it. And let it sit in the fridge for a bit too long. And the pudding went a little sour. Well, to be honest, a lot sour.
So what's the moral of this story? Be sure to use your pudding soon after it sets up to fill your thumbprint cookies. Otherwise, you'll end up with something sour and not-so-bring-in-able.
