B, a reader and real-life recipe user, wrote in to share some love for my Golden Girls Cookies and to offer a neat (literally) alternative method for stuffing cookies:
I found when I was making the Golden Girls cookies (which I can't get enough of!), if I put the filling in a ziploc bag and pipe it in rather than spooning it in, it made things so much easier.
Hey, B. Thanks for writing in with that trick. Stuffed cookies require a lot of manual labor, and it can be really hard to keep your hands clean--and cool. (Hot hands can make the final rolling a bit difficult.) So kudos definitely go out to you for coming up with a simple way to make stuffing a cookie a little bit simpler!
Oh! Speaking of Golden Girls: Don't forget to watch Betty White on SNL this weekend.
