Rue McClanahan--Blanche from The Golden Girl--passed away this morning.

So tonight, before you tune in to a Golden Girls marathon, bake up a batch of my cheesecake-stuffed Golden Girls Cookies.

And remember two things: 1) BED stands for Blanche Elizabeth Devereaux. 2) As Dorothy said, "It's only pronounced Dever-ucks in limericks."

i made these cookies last year and was instantly sold on crushed graham in oatmeal meets cream cheese. (Well, that and i am a self-proclaimed GG trivia star & the Girls' biggest fan!) i will be baking a batch tonight to bring into work tomorrow for a modest "celebration of life" ceremony for Rue.
