Dear Greg,
I love your unique recipes...wondering what you would make to bring to an Oktoberfest gathering. I am not trying to make a beer or pretzel flavored but am looking to find something inspired by the locale or the season. Any ideas? Black Forest Cookies? Bavarian Creme or something? Perhaps I should just stick with one of your tried and true apple or pumpkin flavored recipes.
Would love to hear your thoughts.

Hi, Sondra. Thanks for writing in! And thanks for suggesting the Black Forest and Bavarian Creme flavors. I'll have to do some experimenting with those. In the meantime, though, consider my German Chocolate Cake Cookies. They've got chocolate and coconut, which I don't think anybody can complain about, and they've got German in their name, which is perfect for an Oktoberfest treat.
