Hi, OCG. I just happened to find your site, which I thoroughly have enjoyed exploring. You're too funny. My one question is: why the strike-through of the chocolate-malted? I love this particular combination but never considered it as an OC iteration. Did it not work? I noticed you had the same treatment of Elvis, but I figure that moderation or just good taste kept you from trying a banana-bacon-poundcake OC. Thanks, Dan
Hey, Dan. Thanks for stopping by and for writing in. Unfortunately, my Chocolate Malted Cookies and Elvis Cookies were failures. Yes...baking blunders happen to the best of us. Even to the Oatmeal Cookie Guy. (I've written about these Oops! episodes here and here.)
The Chocolate Malted Cookies came out really thin, flat, crunchy, and not so tasty. I'm still thinking this one over to come up with a bettter recipe. And the Elvis Cookie came out far too cakey and far, far too banana-y. Surprisingly, the Bacos element was pretty good in these!
Once I perfect the recipes for these two cookies, I'll unstrike them in the list.
