Hi, Sarah. That's a great question! For an answer, I checked in with my English friend Gary and asked what would go into a royal wedding cookie. His answer: fruitcake.
Fruitcake? Yes...fruitcake.
I did some more research and found that fruitcake is the traditional flavor for royal wedding cakes. So unless William and Kate decide to go in a completely different direction, they and their guests will enjoy a brandy-soaked fruitcake topped with--of course--royal icing. Stay tuned! I've got a few days to pull something together for the big day.
