We went for our Saturday walk but didn't realize that the cold, windy weather would make it a shorter trip than usual. We began with lunch at Centro Vinoteca, one of our new favorite neighborhood restaurants tucked away near the corner on Seventh Avenue and Barrow Street. I had poached eggs over a proscuitto fontina cake, and Jon had spicy bucatini. We went for a walk down Bleecker Street and warmed up with some hot cocoa from Bruno Bakery on Laguardia Place before dodging some Italian tourists' cigarette butts and heading back home. The tempurature didn't move past 30 degrees in NYC at all today, and the wind made it feel a lot colder. It should warm up a bit tomorrow, though, so stay tuned for Autumn Sunday!
Glad to hear that the cold didn't stop you from having some good eats!

We read in NY magazine that Rachel Maddow sometimes eats there, so now we're hoping we bump in to her.
