Em, a reader and real-life recipe user, wrote in to ask the following question:
“OCG, have you ever thought of doing a Boston Cream Pie/Cake version of a cookie? Could it be done?”
Hmmm. That's a good one, Em! But you just gave me the worst craving for a Boston cream doughnut.
This is something I'm definitely going to experiment with. I've already got some ideas for making this a reality. Stay tuned...I'll try to have something ready after Thanksgiving.
For those of you who've never experienced the bliss that is a Boston cream dessert (BCD), here's the formula: a baked product + custard filling + chocolate topping = BCD.
That sounds difficult! Custard is so runny, it would be hard to stuff a cookie with it. I anxiously await this recipe if you decide to try.

it could be tricky, but I know who the best stuffed cookie-maker is!

Hey, Runjess. You're right: custard can be runny, especially when it's warm. I'm thinking of some ways to make the custard thicker while still tasting custardy. I'm working on it! :-)
