I ate the other half of the box (I think), and See's were some of the best chocolates I've had...but I didn't know there were any caramel-filled ones...

I have a friend who buys hordes of See's chocolates every holiday and gives boxes away. I got a few from him after the new year and they are SO GOOD. I agree my favorite are the caramel ones...and in the fancy little gold box I got this year there was even a caramel and marshmallow one- that was by far the best IMO.

When I was a little girl, my father was a salesman and bought dozens of boxes of See's Candy for his customers. Of course, we always had some at the house. It seems like I know which is which on sight almost by instinct, having grown up with it - yum, that's a chocolate covered caramel! - ick, that's a gross maple square!

It was until many years later that I found out See's were a rarity in other states, an unattainable luxury that some people only dreamed about. I had always taken See's for granted! Why, if my instinct failed and I took a bite of something unappealing, I'd just throw it away! Oh, the cand-atimy!

In other words, enjoy!!!!!! :-)

See's is my favorite candy! I go there about once a week. How in the world did you get a free box? I'm jealous. Great blog...always looking to make the perfect oatmeal cookie. Have you tried the Pioneer Woman's Oatmeal Crispies? They are very good.

Sorry, Jonazz. I think the caramel-filled ones were the first I polished off. You don't know what you missed! :-)

Hi, Em. I think I know what I'm getting everyone for Christmas next year. ;^)

Hi, Carol. It's a good thing See's has an online store. Otherwise, we wouldn't be able to get these goodies on the East Coast. Jon says we passed a See's store when we were in San Francisco a couple years ago. We totally should have gone in! I've seen stuff about See's on Food Network a couple times...I'm so glad I got to try their chocolate!

Thanks for the blog-love, Romi. :-) I'll have to check out that recipe!
