On Friday night, Gary, Alan, and I went to Gascogne for pre-movie prix-fixe dinner. We went to see Julie & Julia, so of course we had French. I think Julia would be proud.
Appetizers: 1) Leek mousse, tomato confit, and goat cheese. 2) Vichyssoise. 3) Mesclun salad with champagne-shallot vinaigrette.
Entrees: 1) Chicken breast with sauternes sauce and mushrooms. 2) Roast loin of pork with white bean ragout and garden vegetables. 3) Seared tilapia with garden vegetables and saffron sauce.
Desserts: 1 and 3) Pear clafoutis with sorbet. 2) Crème caramel.
